Load Error caused by: Retrieving the Com class factory for component

You must reinstall the program you wish to work with to reinstall the missing component.

Another reason for an error at start up will occur when trying to run the program on a 64 bit operating system. Download and try the program fix.

Can you change the country in the header of the Simply Accounting IMP file created

The header in the Simply Accounting IMP file created by the program always defaults to the Canada Country Code = 1, as follows:

<Version>
"12001","1"
</Version>

To change the export file header Country code, rename the IMP file extension to "txt" and then open the export file in NotePad. Edit the country code = 2 for USA, as show below, or country code = 3 for French. Save the file and then rename the "txt" extension back to IMP.

<Version>
"12001","2"
</Version>

Why does an error message appear, when opening a network database file, with the phrase:  "Could not Set Database File Mode. Operation must use an updateable query"

This message will be encountered when opening a network database file, if network sharing and security is not set properly for the host folder. First map a network drive to the host folder for the database file. Then set the "Network sharing and security" for the host folder as shown below:

Network Sharing

Why are editing changes not immediately recorded in the database file.

After completing edits to the database file, the database file may appear to be out of sync. The changes may appear to have not been completed in the database file as edited. This is as a result of how the Microsoft Jet database engine writes changes to the database file. The Microsoft Jet database engine uses a page buffering system to provide enhanced database performance, which only actually flushes the data to the database file periodically.  This can give the appearance that the database file is out of sync, especially in multi user mode when two or more users are editing the same data table. Each user connection is different and they may be viewing the data differently depending on when their connection was made in relation to the last data flush. The flushing delay can result in error messages when adding, editing or deleting data and can also actually result in corruption in the database file that requires a Repair to fix.

If you encounter out of sync data in single user mode try closing and reopening the data form. If you encounter out of sync data in multi user mode, try closing and reopening the database file. Slow network response time can contribute to the problem in multi user mode. If this problem is resulting in corrupt data, then it is recommended that simultaneous use of the same database file in multi user mode be avoided. Try improving Network speed.
